Radical self love!

It’s time to love EVERY part of yourself! Especially all of the parts that you’ve been conditioned to feel ashamed of or weird about in the past. Love your whole body and all of its amazing bodily functions: your genitals, your anus, your farts, your menstrual blood, your body hair, your wrinkly bits, your wobbly bits, your burps, your skin pigmentation, your sexual impulses, your scars, whatever physical quirks make you unique. What a miraculous gift it is to have a body that allows you to experience and create in this world! How absolutely beautifully unique your body is!
 
Love your whole psyche and all of its wildest imaginings and darkest thoughts: your jealous thoughts, your angry thoughts, your exuberance, your weirdness, your crazy dreams. What an amazing machine this mind is, doing its part to keep you safe and well in the world to the best of its ability, and helping you imagine new ways to share your gifts.
 
So many of us have been taught that our natural impulses are shameful and wrong, or that we are born into sin, or that we have lifetimes of bad karma to pay off, or that we need to abstain from enjoying bodily pleasures in order to connect deeper with spirit, or that we are ‘too much’ of something and ‘not enough’ of something else.
 
In the face of this conditioning, embracing ALL of oneself with total love in the present is a radical, revolutionary act. YOU ARE PERFECT, just the way you are. You do not require permission from anyone else to fully love and accept yourself just as you are. As we embrace every part of ourselves and love ourselves exactly as we are, we begin to connect again with a childlike joy and appreciation for our own bodies and for this human experience.
 
And we bring healing to parts of our mind, body and spirit that we may have been unconsciously resisting before. I’ve brought so much healing to a (previously chronic) anal fissure in the last few months this way. Ahhhhhh, I love and accept ALL of you, completely, body! Thank you for allowing me to journey in this earthly plane.
