How does your Divine Feminine essence express herself?

My feminine loves to play with flowers and colours and feel free and be innocently naked. She likes to create beautiful things for no reason other than the childlike joy of it, such as making patterns on the beach out of stones. She is whimsical and mystical and dreamy. She loves to nurture others with touch and caresses. She creates delicious meals out of random ingredients. She loves to dive deep into her sensuality and surrender to huge passion and pleasure. She dances naked to the music of the sunset and cuddles trees. She paints and sings and skips and takes fun self-portraits. She can be full of power and fire like a protective mother bear. She isn’t afraid to go deep into anger and shame and grief and all the messy, gritty stuff of being a human. Every time she drags me down into the depths of my shadow I come up for air eventually, gasping and reeling but gifted with new expansion and deeper self-acceptance and compassion.

 

Some of these aspects of the feminine are more socially acceptable than others. As girls we’re taught not to be too sexy or empowered, for fear of inciting jealousy and judgement. We’re taught not to be too loud or wild or outspoken. Not to make a scene or inconvenience others with our messy emotions. But all of these things are different expressions of the Divine Feminine energy. It is an honour and a pleasure for me to create space for more aspects of her to show up in my life, and I welcome them all for the gifts they contain.
