Appreciating the cycles of life

Our current mainstream societies and economies are extremely focused on doing, producing and consuming: they seem to demand constant growth and expansion. There is so little time built in for rest or rejuvenation or reflection, and so little appreciation for the natural processes of entropy and dissolution. Yet these destructive phases are a necessary part of the flow of creation. Without the dissolution of existing things, there can be no space for something new to emerge. Constant unchecked growth becomes destructive like a cancer.
Right now I sense that a natural balance is reasserting itself, and we are being called back into harmony with the rhythms of life within our own lives and on a global scale. Expansion, contraction, inhalation, exhalation. Birth, growth, decay, death. We are being called to let go of anything that no longer serves us, facing mini ego deaths each time and surrendering to the unknown that lies on the other side.
In my own life, I am reflecting again on the relationship I had to let go of last year, and feeling a new layer of tenderness and grief there. But I know it is creating space for even more magic in my life. In the outer world, I feel that there is a huge process of collapse underway on a global scale. So many systems that no longer serve humanity are beginning to crumble. This may be confusing and look chaotic as it unfolds in coming years, but it is a natural process - like a caterpillar dissolving itself in a cocoon and awaiting rebirth. The more we can surrender control and resistance and clinging to the way things were, the more fear dissolves and we begin to trust more in this natural process. Already in the last year many of us have been forced to surrender to a different, slower pace of life than what we have been used to, learning to BE instead of DOING so much.
The great awakening is here! The Divine Feminine is rising, calling us back into balance and harmony with the rhythms of nature. Sending so much love and blessings in these truly epic times. Thanks for being here and sharing your energy. It’s not always easy for sure, but we’ve got this!
